Latest Draw Updates Of Quebec And Alberta

Quebec invited 162 skilled worker candidates over two Arrima draws

A Total of 162 invitations had been issued by Quebec to apply for QSWP Quebec Skilled Worker Program after holding Two latest draws held in Oct 23 and Oct 24.

Quebec invited 89 people to apply for permanent selection. who were chosen based on Quebec's labour market needs. All those invited on October 23 had an Expression of Interest in Quebec’s online registration portal, Arrima. And on October 29, 73 candidates had been invited to submit an application for permanent selection.

Those invited in that draw needed to have a valid offer of employment. Invitations were also sent to foreign nationals staying in Quebec carrying out official duties. Among other occupations, these officials included diplomats, consular officers, and representatives of an intergovernmental organization such as the United Nations.

Quebec has invited 1757 QSWP candidates with an Arrima profile since July 4.

Alberta invites another 148 Express Entry candidates to apply for PNP :

The latest draw through Alberta’s Express Entry-aligned immigrant nominee stream turned out 148 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR. Express Entry candidates selected in the November 6 draw needed a CRS score of at least 400 to receive an invitation, among other requirements.

Express Entry candidates are given a CRS score based on human capital factors such as age, work experience, education and language ability as well as additional factors such as a provincial nomination.
A provincial nomination is worth an additional 600 CRS points and effectively guarantees that a candidate will be issued an Invitation to Apply  from Canadian Government.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program AINP manages the Alberta Express Entry Stream, which allows the AINP to search the Express Entry pool for eligible candidates. While a job offer is not required in Alberta, it could improve one’s chances of being invited.

The AINP says it is more likely to issue invitations to Express Entry candidates who:

  1. Have an Alberta job offer and/or work experience; and/or
  2. Graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution; and/or
  3. Have a relative living in Alberta such as a parent, child and/or sibling.
